Ok. I may have asked on the wrong chain. However, I'd love to see which is causing it to be on. (and disable it)

I have an S8+ and is suddenly doing the same thing. I have no alarms on, yet the icon is there. If I wasn't so OCD it wouldn't be an issue. However, it bugs me that it's there for no apparent reason.

So, I hope someone here can help me out. I have a Moto X (2013) running Android 4.4.4. I have a very annoying bug. When I listen to a voicemail through the earpiece, the volume buttons do not control the volume. If I play the voicemail through the external speaker, I can ramp the volume up...

I found this thread through a problem where the volume control would not change the volume when listening through the earpiece. Some I'm clear, it would change the volume out of the speaker and it would through the earpiece in a normal call. I performed the same steps as above and it fixed...
