Im wondering if I got the cancellation and refund email after I told them today I was going to release the email thread (where they kept making promises) to the relevant tech media.

Well same as I never expected to see the phone in the 7 day window, Im not holding breath that I will see the refund in my bank within the 7 day window!!

No, never got a tracking number, but was repeatedly told mine was "shipping today"

Wow, I just received a refund email!! Telling me I should have my money back in my account in 7-10 days. So that pretty much clarifies that despite all the promises up to and including Saturday, they were simply lying about shipping my phone.

Ordered phone first day available, money gone from bank Ordered camera first day available, money gone from bank Still no shipping details, but I have got a nice long series of emails from different CS people that are blatant lies and repeatedly contradict each other.

The thing I can’t get past is all the blatant lies. Last week I’m being told they can’t cancel my order as it’s ready to ship. It’s nearly a week later and I still have no shipping email. They obviously have a suite of generic email responses they send out in the hope we will be silenced long...

The thing that really gripes me is that when I ordered on 16th, it was made very clear it would ship within 7 days and would be 2-3 day delivery. I paid on the premise that it would arrive 7 days before I go away for 3-4 weeks. If theres a slippage of a couple of days, i had a buffer in there so...

Columbus here... no shipping email but I’ve had two different reps today telling they can and cannot cancel my order!!

I ordered on 16th. I told them this morning I go away on Friday 1st so need it before then. They have just replied to tell me they can’t promise I will have it by Sept 1st!?!?

Ive emailed to cancel my order. If they cant even do an honest email response correctly, or meet ANY of their shipping commitments, I have lost all confidence in their ability to meet their promises post launch. Regular updates? Good support? Further add-ons? I will believe it when I see it.

Im sat here with a lot less money than I should have in my bank, waiting on hearing whether a phone I paid for that I should have had 2 days ago even exists, being blanked by Essentials Twitter feed, and expected to be happy with a generic 'it will ship soon probably, one day, maybe in the not...

And its so frustrating that their website does NOTHING when you click track order. It doesnt even tell you it hasnt shipped yet (which we know it hasnt, but it would be nice to have it confirmed either way - thats the whole point of a Track Order option!!!)
