Is it just me or there isn't much of a difference between max manual brightness vs auto brightness? I tried it in the direct sunlight and the screen is perfectly readable even with the manual brightness.

On pocketnow in their camera review of S7 they said it's because of the wide aperture. Or it could be less quality lens or coating on them. Maybe that's why I've never seen this on Lumia smartphones since they use Carl Zeiss optics. I just want to know if it's common for all S7 phones.

No protective film. And lenses are clean. I saw a few videos where you can see this. New iPhone7 does this too.

You can see the problem here. I get this effect almost every time by the strong source of light in low light.

I usually take picture to minimize this effect. But you can see in the first picture there are some dots of the decorating lights. On the second picture you can see these dots from street lamps in the sky.
