I assume that although you mentioned IOS, you are looking for a feature on Android that is equivalent to a feature on IOS. Android 6.0 has a "Do Not Disturb" feature that can be configured to automatically turn on for calendar events and also during specific time periods. Go to Settings->"Sound...
