So loyalty cards in Samsung Pay work exactly the same way they do using the beaming technology that "Beep-N-Go" uses. That beaming technology is actually a feature that is mostly only on Samsung devices so Samsung made sure to take advantage of it.

^^^^ I'm pretty sure that is just a U.S. bank thing. My card was marked for fraud the first day I had it because I tested Samsung Pay on my personal square card reader a couple times.. The annoying thing is U.S. bank doesn't even notify you, they just turn off your card.

Yeah, for Trader Joe's prior to having Samsung Pay I used Android pay and the NFC is on the screen itself. If you had your phone near the card swipe then you did the transaction through NFC. If you had your phone near the actual screen then you did it through NFC.

I know Jack in the Box has had NFC payments for a while so she was probably familiar with it from that.

Has anyone successfully used their debit card at Costco? My card was read but after I put in the pin it said card not authorized

God dammit, I literally just activated Samsung Pay yesterday and I didn't even use it.

I want to win this phone because this is the first reasonably sized Nexus that is compatible with Verizon since the Galaxy Nexus. The Nexus 6 is amazing, but it was just too big for my taste. The Nexus 5X is the perfect size.
