I am the tech lead on Chrome Data Saver. The system knows nothing about ads. Indeed, we avoid modifying the HTML for pages in any way, and certainly don't inject ads -- not sure where you're getting this from. Also, not sure what you mean about bypassing ad blockers -- there are no ad blockers...
