This is what is worrying me. Having done a bit more research I've seen that some V10 users are experiencing similar bootloop problems to the G4 and I'm wondering if the V20 will as well given time.

Thanks for the comment. The only real thing stopping me is it is a lot of money and if the V10 lasted me a year or two it might be worth it. I don't understand this comment. On the iPhone you can't replace the battery so you are comparing the V20 on the basis of battery life of the existing battery? To me this doesn't make sense. Replacement batteries are cheap and the cost of the V20 and an additional battery is still much cheaper...
