I just downloaded the Lollipop update and have been trying to get Smart Lock to work for this tab. I have a feeling Samsung did something to disable this feature from working as no matter what I try it simply doesn't work.
I added my home as a trusted place and my phone as a trusted device but...
I sold my Galaxy Pro 8.4 for a 10.5 S mostly because magazines and comics were too small on the 8.4, but now I have come to realize pretty much everything is better on the full size tablet including web browsing and videos. Even reading a book. I had thought the 10.5 would be too heavy for long...
It works from my Home Screen. However, you may need to enable it in your launcher. I am using Nova Launcher and I have checked the box to enable it in the settings.
Re: Disappointed so far
I would keep this tablet over the LG G Pad. I had the G Pad and this tablet is much...much...much better. Unless you're just looking to save some cash, because the G Pad is cheaper. You get what you pay for :)
What are you talking about? I have never had to factory reset any of my Android devices and have never had a problem with a slower device. Then again, I certainly am not installing "many apps and games daily".
It will. These phones can take 4k video and if you have Google+ set to auto backup on a cell signal you can easily eat up 2 GB of data with just a 5 minute 4k clip.
It will work but you need to set "Secured Lock Time" to "Instantly lock when the power key is pressed or when the screen times out". It's in the Lock Screen menu.
Set up your screen time out in the Display menu and you should be good to go.
