The 9a doesn't feel like plastic, it has an aluminium frame, yeah the back is plastic but holding it in your hand you wouldn't know. As for the weight, it's lighter than the 9 or the 9 pro and it has a bigger battery, which I'm sure accounts for the thickness.

It's definitely midrange! Using the same chip as the 9 pro doesn't elevate the status of the 9a, the Tensor 4 is OK for day to day stuff but for anything like photo editing or gaming it's not up to it, there's no way a £1000 smartphone should come with anything less than the most powerful SOC...

Doesn't really matter how it's done imo. The fact is it can be done already fairly simply.

Download the lockscreen app, add widget to homescreen and a simple tap and screen is locked. Job done!

I'm not fussed either way, it's always good to feel like you're getting something but most of the time updates don't change how I use my watch.

Looks to my eye like there is more glare in the pics than there would have been without a lens protector.

There's a new modem in the Pixel 9 series which makes a lot of difference.

My 9 Pro is spot on, absolutely no issues.

So just got my S24 a week ago and today got the February Security update but the Google Playstore is still on July 2023 with no updates available! Anyone know why that is? or how to get most recent update?

The Motorola StartTAC was released in 96, I had one when I first joined the Army.

There a quite a few phones out there with optical underscreen scanners that are better than the one on the Pixel 6 models. On my Pixel 6 the scanner was OK until I put a screen protector on, now the hit rate is around 75%.

For me the in screen scanner was acceptable before I put a screen protector on, now it's 50/50 on whether it unlocks or not.

What would make you think that your issue was processor related?
