This issue has bothered me since my previous Pixel phone...and has continued on my current Pixel 9 Pro and Android 16. For some reason when I connect to Android Auto in my vehicle, at some point it increases my call volume to maximum. If I'm not careful, and don't manually turn it back down...
Android 16 (Google Pixels) includes a new Battery Health section. This includes finally displaying total battery capacity (similar to iOS and 3rd party apps like Accubattery). It also includes a new setting called Battery Health Assistance. That is what I'm asking about above.
I have read several posts on Reddit making claims that the new Battery Health Assistance feature in Android 16 does the opposite of what it appears to claim. It is meant to help prevent aggressive charging from reducing longterm capacity, correct? Some Reddit posts claim it does the...
How is Android (i.e. 15) at uninstalling apps? Unlike Windows, is Android still good at uninstalling everything (i.e. no orphan files, settings, services, etc.)? Or is an uninstaller app like Revo recommended?
I'm not sure but the issue definitely seems to be that Android sets a very restrictive threshold vs. iOS (or even older versions of Android) before it will will scan and switch to a better/stronger AP (if available). I'm trying the app mentioned yesterday...it seems ok. It works...but mostly...
My issue definitely seems to be a threshold issue. Yesterday, I was able to get it to change APs...I was connected to upstairs AP and watched the signal degrade when I went downstairs past the downstairs AP. After going to a far corner of the house and returning, it did switch to the...
If I understand what you're saying Apple already does this. You can set any max charging % on iOS 18 and iPhone 16 (not sure about previous phones). However, Apple doesn't seem to allow you to adjust charging speed. I have my wife's set to 95% but it still fast charges...her phone is warmer...
On my wife's I set it for 95%...I read it is the last few per cent that generate the most stress. However, I would also prefer a setting to turn off fast charging for those of us that don't use our phones all the time...and a slow overnight charge is fine. Even if you lower the % it can still...
Is there another way to change the DNS server on Android 15 than using one of those apps that seem more like a VPN...privacy and performance concerns. I have added a "private DNS" entry under "Network and Internet" but I don't know if that does anything.
Thanks...I've tried toggling adaptive connectivity on and off...did nothing. I'm leaving it off for now as I read that it was more inclined to keep people on LTE than 5G. I also tried resetting my network settings again...no change either...and sent more feedback to Google. Right now, I...
First...thanks for actually acknowledging my issue and providing hel/recommendations. Here is what I have done so far. I have used Wifiman to look at signal strength(s)...it does show both APs and realtime signal strength.
- Routers are Asus RT-AXE7800s. I have separate SSIDs for 2.4, 5, and...
I lowered the transmission power from "performance = highest" to "Good = 75%"...no luck. When my wife doesn't need it for work and I can do some more testing I'll see what happens if I lower it to "Balanced = 50%." As you said I had to do it for all three bands...2.4, 5, and 6.
That case doesn't look high risk at all...and looks like it protects that area just like the Ringke and others do. What screen protector did you have on...did it only go on the glass, or was it the kind that covers the whole camera island, including the sides? Did a piece of sand or something...
I looked at the Ringke case...if you don't intend to use a camera screen protector that looks good. I'm not sure how it would fit if you did have one...with the protection on the right side and that it looks like it might lift a protector on the left side. I would still be afraid of the amount...
