Am I the only one unimpressed with the S7 camera?

Yeah, I totally understand about just taking some quick pictures. But at the same time, even DSLRs would struggle with this on auto mode depending on the type of focus/metering you're using. Pro photogs make pictures in bright sunlight look easy, and while pretty much any cell camera will do a...

Am I the only one unimpressed with the S7 camera?

You're just seeing differences in focus points. Exposure is based on the amount of light in the focus point. I don't see that your first picture is "yellow", just that it focused on something brighter and toned down the exposure a little bit. I bet if you tapped your kid's face to focus all...

What's Your Default Messaging App? Lots of lag with Google's

Why are more people not saying Hangouts? I don't think it's the best, but I can't use anything else unless it integrates Hangouts messages and SMS. Some people I regularly talk to use Hangouts, and some don't, and I've tried Textra for those that don't...but it's SO much easier to just do it...

Samsung Pay: Useful Tool or Cool Novelty?

I use it sometimes. I need to remember to use it more. It's most handy when you have a chip card and don't know if the terminal accepts the chip or not. Samsung Pay just works and you don't have to guess and fail how you have to swipe/put in your card. I've used it probably 50 times total...

Would you trade your V10 for a new iPhone 6s Plus 128GB ?

Wait...you guys have your own separate money? Seems like you have more important things to figure out than what cell phone you're using lol. This is a confusing post. I have a Note 5 and my wife has a 6s+. They're both awesome phones. Both have top of the line cameras. Both batteries last...

So i guess there's no official Jelly Bean for this phone.

This thread is one of the reasons that XDA Devs are condescending. [GUIDE] How to Flash Custom Binaries Without Ever Incrementing the Flash Counter!! - xda-developers They put a ton of work into making this easy for you, and don't appreciate when you ask them obvious things instead of...

What I hate about this phone...

The problem is that you're stuck with the version of Swype that's on the phone, since it's native. Swype won't let you install new versions...(unless I'm unaware of a method). The beta version of Swype that's out right now doesn't jump around like that, so you don't hit that button...

GSII - Changing my status "from love it" to "like it"

Haha...thanks for proving exactly what I'm talking about. I'll give you a pass considering you know nothing about me, but I can perform many computer-related tasks more complicated than rooting an Android. The difference is that if I screw up other things, I can just buy a $70 replacement...

GSII - Changing my status "from love it" to "like it"

This thread is about not loving the phone anymore, and simply liking it. Not being able to use standard features of your cell phone without draining your battery certainly stands in the way of "loving it". I'd go the rooting route, but it doesn't seem like anybody is willing to completely...

GSII - Changing my status "from love it" to "like it"

The update is the reason for the poor battery life. Before the update, I got a solid day (4:30 AM - 10 PM) without having to worry about my battery. After the update, I'm lucky if I make it til 6 or 7 PM, and if I actually use it for anything that day other than a few text messages, I'm lucky...

    Battery drain with new update

Ok, so I understand that an update can have adverse effects on phones, and I have no problem with that. The thing that is really starting to bother me is the fact that this has been going on for two or three months now, and neither AT&T or Samsung has made an attempt to fix it. Is this...

Samsung Galaxy S 2 or Motorola Atrix 2

When we upgraded, I got a SGS2, and my wife got an Atrix 2. Fresh out of the box, the A2 was WAY slower than my SGS2. Even switching homepages was slow. There was noticeable lag. It's still that way today. Build quality does seem a little better I guess for the A2, so if you plan on...

New smart phone user and on a budget

I would honestly bump it to 3 gigs for a month or two, and check how much data you used in those months. I'd rather spend the extra $20 for a couple months than be hit with a $500 bill because you unknowingly went over. Obviously if you see you're only using 150 mb, it's safe to drop it down.

Normal for battery to drop 10% overnight

I'd be thrilled if I only lost 10% in 8 hours. I can pretty much guarantee that my phone would be dead in the morning if I didn't charge it or turn it off overnight....unless it was at 50% battery or so. Of course, this wasn't an issue before the "update".
