Yes, except it can function as a BT speaker phone well. You can make and answer calls, or play podcast or music through the watch. The microphone's is pretty good quality too.

It should no problem. I just bought a T-mobile refurb s2 3G on EBay for $99 that I use like that. My phone's Verizon but I just use the watch via BT. you can talk, make, and answer calls as long as the phone is connected.

I lace camera lag as you describe. It didn't use it much before the update but I agree that the update seems to have made it worse. Other apps lag as well. I'm on Fi and suspect that. I'm switching back to vz for a week to see if that has an effect.

I ordered mine from Amazon on the 20th. Emailed them Friday regarding the -$80 and they emailed me right back informing me that they would credit my cc account the $80. 7 days later, but not bad. You might try sending a nice email and see what happens!
