was the problem only with Wendys or other locations? you did not say if it was google or samsung pay. google you need nfc turned on, samsung you don't. Since there was a recent att update, maybe try wiping the system cache (not app cache). Sometimes there are issues after updates...

there is always something running in the bacground from google services to whatever app is calling home. Then you have mobile, wifi and bluetooth that if on, will be always searching for a signal. Then you have your weather apps, clocks, email, notifications and other info that is always...

You can look at your google play store order history or you can check in your file manager for the creation date. there are also third party app managers that will show when installed. Not sure if it will work at this point.

did you sideload and/or install any apps recently? As the others said, delete immediately if you are not expecting any files from others. And even then, before opening, verify with the sender.

it is all about money, fees from the developers in order to be verified. In addition, by trying to force everyone to download from their play store, they want their 30 percent or so cut on the apps, and inapp purchases.

the best way is to plug it into your windows computer using the phone link app that is already installed on the pc. another way is to attach it to an email, save it in the draft folder, then open the email account on the computer then copy the file over from the draft.

try restarting the phone if you had not.
