I had done factory reset in June for other reasons, don't think that changed anything. Not sure if worth doing again.

Yeah scrolled all the way down, checked also the name of every app. Also tried search bar. Maybe the name is different on this phone, but none of the app names seem to be talking about updates.

Yes, see in the image I do "show system", then i look in the whole list, nothing talks about software updates or similar.

My phone doesn't have a section for "system apps" just a option in the main apps list to show/hide system apps. I did "show" to see them all, don't see it in the list.

In the list of apps I did "show system" to show hidden system apps and in the entire list I see nothing that looks like "software" or "update" or anything like that anywhere. Can this be the cause of the problem?

I did, Also tried again this morning soon as I woke up and nothing new available. It does the same. I only recently tried with VPN out of desperation but with/without is the same results.

I gave safe mode a try but that didn't allow any new updates. Left it running in safe mode all night until now and did random manual checks. Can't run my VPN in safe mode so couldn't test that. I have no idea what else to try at this point.
