Using an Android tablet for productivity

I've bounced between webOS and Android a couple times. Recently, I picked up a TouchPad, which I love... with a couple of exceptions. I'm considering returning it and picking up a Galaxy Tab 10.1 (or another recommendation), but I want to make sure I'm not moving from one platform that doesn't...

Really starting to hate the ipad

I may be in the minority, but I'm hoping for a Win7 tab with a UI skin for some of the less touch-friendly bits and a stylus. That might be a tall order, though. I don't want everything that Win7 has, but I do want pdf, ebooks, email, SkyDrive, and (most importantly) OneNote. I know iPad and...

WebOS 2.0 - Palm is BACK baby!

Quite likely, and I understand that. You asked why I would be willing to switch back, though.

    OMG. Sprint is the worst!

I've been with Sprint since the mid 1990s. Never had an issue. In fact, they've bent quite a bit to make sure I was satisfied, even without me threatening to leave or anything like that. Honestly, Sprint has treated me well enough that I won't switch carriers.

WebOS 2.0 - Palm is BACK baby!

Yes and no. Quantity of apps is irrelevant, so long as the apps I want are available. And those are actually a bit of give and take between the two platforms. Android brings the official Remember the Milk app, some interesting games, and widgets. Palm has email, contacts, and messaging that...

    Palm Pre Candor Part 1

It's not the swipe to delete. I'm fine with a long-hold context menu. I find the email app to be ugly and missing some features (or I haven't figured them out, in which case I'm willing to be educated). I can't click on links, IMAP doesn't correctly pick up read flags, the combined in box is...

WebOS 2.0 - Palm is BACK baby!

Agreed. I switched to the Epic for hardware, not software, reasons. If Palm put out a webOS device with specs comparable to the Epic, I'd switch back in a heartbeat.

    Palm Pre Candor Part 1

I switched from WinMo to webOS in Sept of 09 and webOS to Android in Sept of 10. I like my Epic better in a lot of ways. To be honest, though, I'm extremely frustrated with email, contacts, and messaging. A year ago, I was still giddy about my move from WinMo to webOS. This year, I'm happy...

How many of you are coming from a Palm device ? ( WebOS/Pre/Pixi )

I went from WinMo to Pre and never looked back. Recently, I got the EPIC. I've finally gotten used to the multitasking and navigation and I think I'm becoming a partial Android convert. The PIM apps (email, contacts, messaging) feel like they're a full generation behind the Pre. That's...
