I'll be picking up a new phone tomorrow, and I am having trouble deciding which of these phones to get. I want to make sure I get the best one, as I don't want to spend money on another phone for a while. From what I've read, both are very good phones. I need help picking

If I did this, could it remove a permanent SIM lock on my phone?

Yeah they told me the only way was to pay the phone off in full. They said I didn't qualify for the military clause, even though I did.

When I typed the ZIP code for the area I am in, in Italy, it said no coverage.

I tried that, but they told me they couldn't, and the ONLY way I could was to pay them.

I had AT&T. The coverage wasn't that great, at least in the area I was in. I didn't get to try it much though, since I got stationed in Korea and Italy back to back. The customer service aspect was way better than Verizon imo.

Sorry I forgot to mention, I got a unlock code from AT&T but it didn't work and they said since I put it in to many times it locked it to AT&T. Is there still anything I can do about that?
