Hi I was wondering if I flash att ruu on my HTC will it turn s on ? I am currently using a att HTC one m8 with the gpe rom

How do I flash a rom because I restored my backup on twrp before and I tried again but my data go corrupted because I think I was using an otg cable. I have a ruu file from htc dev but no rom. I was wondering if I can turn s-off in this bricked state.

I tried to install a cyanogenmod and it fudged up my phone when i boot up its all black but i can still access the bootloader. I unlocked the bootloader but did not turn s-off was that the problem? Should I fix the problem or use return my phone because i bought it less than a month ago. Need...
