I just purchased a pair of Epson Moverio AR glasses - which supposedly will mirror a phone screen via a USB-C cable and DisplayPort mirroring. It doesn't seem to be automatic, and I can't find a setting on my Note 8. Suggestions on how to enable mirroring? Thanks Much!

Well, turns out that Google just would not restore stuff. Got to the step in the new phone initialization where google asks for a username/password, then puts up a list of devices to restore from, and selected my previous phone. Expected the next screen to be "what do you want to restore."...

Strikelll - so they don't overwrite each other? And, one question: I notice that Google seems to take a looooong time - with a blank screen & no progress indicator (started and restarted several times). Is that normal (i.e. a symptom of low bandwidth), or am I hosed? Thanks!

Enough with the "from scratch" comments - been there, done that, I kind of like the applications and config that I have on my Note 5, and I want to copy all my application data. Does anybody have any comments re. the various backup/restore options available, and how to use them in combination?

I have a brand new Note 8 (!) and getting ready to transfer everything from my current Note 5 - ideally with as little re-arranging of the home screen & resetting configuration as possible. (New toy, 2 days of setup, arrgh!). Which leads me to wonder which combination of Google Restore...

How can I command S-Note with Google Voice (Samsung Note 5)? "Take a memo" seems to know about Evernote, OneNote, and G-Mail, but not S-Note. Thanks!
