Thanks for the suggestion, I'll do that and keep an eye on how things go.

    Email issue - not syncing

Yes, its the stock email client but I noticed this with touchdown as well. In fact because of this issue, I uninstalled touchdown and went with the stock app.

    Email issue - not syncing

I'm not sure if this is hardware or software but from time to time, my email client stops getting emails. These has happened a number of times since going to froyo (it never occurred on 2.1). A reboot resolves this problem, but its only after I notice it. That is, I may not notice the lack of...

Looks like I'll need to get rid of my Droid X

I really don't want to get around this, either because, my email may suddenly stop working or risking my job because of this. Its not worth it to me.

Looks like I'll need to get rid of my Droid X

The problem is, that I don't want two phones and last year my company put a stop to subsidizing crackberries. You need to be a high up for the company to pay for phones. For my job, I take care of servers and its important to have 24x7 email support as the I rely on monitoring software to...

Looks like I'll need to get rid of my Droid X

The verbiage is such that no access. I work for a hospital and the need to ensure data security is a high priority, so this email is not a complete surprise

Looks like I'll need to get rid of my Droid X

My company sent out a note stating that all smartphones will need a Security Policy that requires encryption and at the moment android does not support this. They're going to shut off access to email in 2011 for android phones. :( I'm guessing that if I were to sell my droidx now (or within a...

Shortcomings of Droid X I would like fixed

I wish that google, the company that excelled at searching, would put a decent search engine in the non-gmail email account. Its virtually impossible to do a search on my emails on my droidx.

Available Now: Droid X 2.3.340 Update Discussion (Not Gingerbread!)

You're right but moto also staged the droidx froyo update as well. So yes, its a staged roll out

Available Now: Droid X 2.3.340 Update Discussion (Not Gingerbread!)

Actually there is. Google did this with the nexus, they staged the roll out so not all phones were updated to froyo at once. The same thing with the droidx going to froyo, not all phones were updated at once. They did an initial roll out this morning and have (seemingly) yet to stage another...

Available Now: Droid X 2.3.340 Update Discussion (Not Gingerbread!)

The music app is not what's the problem, its that there's a known bug that makes the SD card unavailable so music, custom ringtones and my pictures. My needs are simple and I'm content with the stock music player.

WooHoo its here, hopefully now I'll be able to listen to my music without needing to reboot all the time.

    2.2 still sucks...

ok, I'll give that a shot, I have nothing to lose

    2.2 still sucks...

The only bug that is really driving me up a wall, is the SD card being unreadable. I listen to music on my commute into work and what seems to be a daily (or 3x a time) occurrence is the need to reboot to play music.
