Why do you prefer the Android OS over iOS?

Camera. My daughter has an XR. My Pixel 3a is still better. If apple starts making cameras that are demonstrably better than Pixel cameras, I'll switch.

    Android System Battery Drain Absurd!

The point you are missing is that those percentages are relative numbers. So, of the battery you've used, x percent is due to android system. In a properly running system, where apps are not running inappropriately in the background, android system or phone idle SHOULD BE THE TOP ITEMS. anything...

How do I download apps onto sd card on my Samsung Galaxy J5?

Re: How do I download apps onto sd card samsung galaxy j5? Tried this "Adoptable Storage" on my wife's Moto X Pure. It mostly works, with some big caveats. 1) most Google apps are required to be in internal storage. 2) Many apps will not install to the SD card even if internal memory is...

Gotta Get to the Bottom of This Battery Drainage! Pics

Something else that will drain battery like crazy is a weak cell signal...even when on WiFi. Understood your s5 didn't have this problem but it worth checking out. Put your phone in airplane mode and turn on WiFi and Bluetooth. If your battery is a little better, that is not the problem. If it's...

Spotify says it's on SD, but it's not?

Looks like it's on the SD, actually. Here's how you can check for sure. In the my files app, navigate to SD card > Android > Data > com.Spotify.music > files > Spotifycache > storage. If you see a long list of folders...that's your music on the SD card.

    Lollipop killed stock "email" app!

One VERY nice thing about Nine is support for application-level security. My corporate admins have very strict password security, which disable Smart lock. By using application level security, I have an additional password for my email (which is fine), but I now have more control over device...

    Z3v to Desire Eye

As an owner of both devices, I agree with your assessment. I carry the Eye as my daily driver. I do like the size and battery of the z3c, and I agree completely on the camera assessment (see my comparison in another thread). The only place where the z3c has an advantage is video. They electronic...

    Z3v to Desire Eye

Can't speak to screen sensitivity...all personal choice...but I am surprised to hear about the colors being off, I have not experienced this and I us a lot of different camera phones. You may have a hardware problem. Can you recreate the issue? I could try a similar picture on my desire and my...

    Z3v to Desire Eye

I see you are using gsam...you may also want to check out the built in battery manager...it reports much more granular detail than stock android. Regarding camera, I've also found the HTC experience to be superior to my Z3c, with the exception of video. Sony's software stabilization is quite...

Picture Comparison! Eye vs. Z3C, Note 4, Lumia 1020

For sure, if you're using the 38MP images. But again, the detail is quite good. I'll see if I can do a crop comparison. Posted via the Android Central App

    Nexus 9, overhyped flop

Totally agree. The sp3 is an actual PC...I love bringing a tablet on trips where I'm only doing mail, notes, and other consumption. Posted via the Android Central App
