On the new "slideshow" format we're occasionally using on the blog side ...

It makes sense to use the slide show format rather than separate, loadable pages for long articles, but the Nexus article appears to be a bad example. There is not a lot of content per slide. If the view all link wasn't there this format would grow tedious. Posted via the Android Central App

    Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6)

The bugs must have been worked out well enough for Verizon edition to get it. I don't buy the too buggy thing.

    Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6)

Yes, but Verizon didn't have a rollout, they got it all at once. And the "roll out" was announced on the 12th and it is still not getting in most Pure Edition users hands, as you can tell from this forum. In fact, I have not heard of one person who got the OTA since the first batch came...

    Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6)

They can call it whatever they want, that doesn't make it so, as they clearly pulled it. Look on this forum and others or watch the android central podcast. It is not out for the Pure Edition beyond an initial test. As to why, that is simply pure speculation on my part. I just have a hunch...

    Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6)

Because Verizon version is not a soak test. It's out for everyone. If anyone with a Verizon X can download it, versus 1 percent of the Pure version, they are first. Posted via the Android Central App

    Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6)

Clearly the Pure Edition update was halted so Verizon could go first Posted via the Android Central App

    Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6)

Ok, so Moto announces that the Pure Edition is done with its soak test and out on their website. Then pulls the update, but now releases it (with no roll out) for Verizon. Yet still has the gall to advertise the Pure Edition as the one that gets updates first. And the Pure edition is now back...

    Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6)

So why does supporting RAW files have any bearing on getting the OTA out?

    Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6)

If they stopped the OTA they should say "we stopped the OTA because of bugs." If you go to Moto's website it says that lollipop is available by OTA. They made that announcement so they could get publicity as being the first major phone released in the U.S. to do it. And they got it. It was...

    Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6)

I'm very annoyed. I am sure the bugs would bother me a bit, but I was ready for them. I choose the pure edition for fast updates. Moto announced that it was available. It wasn't. I have no problem waiting a month or two after it releases. But don't say you have lollipop when you don't...

    Moto X (2nd Gen) Pure Edition XT1095: 5.0 Lollipop Update (22.11.6)

My Moto X Pure Edition may have been one of the earliest devices to announce that they were pushing a lollipop update, but it certainly doesn't look like it will actually get lollipop any time soon. Been a week, I believe, since the OTA was supposed to roll out and the official word appears to...
