Leave it on LTE/CDMA while in the states. You only need to use Global if you travel outside of the US.

A call today hosted by Corporate VZW (not reps) covering ICS and Share everything plans. A gentlemen covering the ICS items stated that exactly regarding the updates.

You don't have to believe me as I know there's been a lot of false reports over time on many things. This was stated on a call today that covered ICS and Share Everything plans. This call was hosted by Corporate VZW (not rep level staff). It's legit I can assure you.

My preference is that they take their time and work out any bugs reported by the soak testers. I'd much rather had a rock solid update then one with bugs so I could have it sooner. When I was a bit younger though I was more in the camp of early adopter :) I guess being a little bit older...

The rollout on the 22nd to NON soak testers was likely to test the OTA version for issues. The soak testers got the file in a different fashion than the typical OTA. So some unsuspecting users got the OTA push to see how smooth the OTA updates will go. Thats what is believed to be why.

The only time you'll need a new SIM card is if the new device is the smaller SIM card form factor. If the Nexus and Razr take the same size SIM card then you can swap them for certain.
