I have a galaxy s4 on 5.1.1 CM12.1 with the same problem, tried the button to end call thing, didn't work. Is there a way to disable the proximity sensor with or without root? Assuming it would fix it. (The proximity finder app reports only 0 cm, also tried "proximity fix" app)
