I had to replace 2 batteries on my previous to previous s3 because they got fat from what I was told was overcharging. The cover wouldn't close and the batteries' charge got progressively worse. Perhaps battery technology has greatly improved in the 3 or so years since but I don't overcharge.

I've been using the Zagg protector because the provider (Globe Philippines) offered it in the store for the equivalent of $19 and I didn't feel like like looking all over. Don't even know if it's the HD ver (probably not). Seems to work fine though. Had no idea it was so bad.

All the 3rd party blocking apps require the use of their product for texting, no? I prefer to use the native app, I don't understand why the Block unknown feature doesn't work. Blacklisting is useless, spammers change numbers constantly.

Nvm. The DU Battery Saver app was causing it. Can't see a setting that would cause it so removed. Back to GSam. Thread can be closed.
