Why you STILL should not buy this phone even at $499

I appreciate you making this post man. I was seriously interested when it launched and the price drop sparked my interest again. But the radio issues worry me and I was skeptical about how well it would work on Verizon already. Also about the one handed usability. That was one of the things I...

I have a Galaxy S8 in my hands — AMA!

Yes the software keys can be switched to the usual set up with the back button on the left. Mr. Mobiles hands on review shows him switching them. Hooray! Accidently didn't link this to the person asking...

I have a Galaxy S8 in my hands — AMA!

Is it possible to change the look of the soft keys to look more like traditional Android soft keys or even the pixel soft keys?

    New mid-range vs. old flagship

That's a very good point. I think that'll probably be the biggest pro for the newer mid-range assuming it is from a brand that supports their devices. I think from a usability standpoint, nougat can offer more than any of the proprietary features on an older LG or Samsung phone.

    New mid-range vs. old flagship

Hi Daniel, I'm sure there's pros and cons to both sides, but I'm wondering how you would compare a new mid-range phone such as the Moto G5 plus to an old flagship such as the LG G3 or G4. A side question would be is a newer chip like the SD 625 better than the SD 801 or SD 808. Thanks!

what's more worth it, Android wear software or Samsung gear hardware?

Better late than never! Thanks for the input.

what's more worth it, Android wear software or Samsung gear hardware?

Hi Daniel. I'm trying to decide on a smartwatch and I am very torn between going with an android wear watch or a Samsung gear watch. It seems to me that the Samsung gear watches have great hardware and a quick and pleasant software experience. However with a lacking s-voice and app options, I...

    AMOLED Burn In?

What about screen saver mode though? I'd like to leave it on over night but I'm worried the navigation keys will burn in. The clock moves around so no big deal but for some reason they don't hide the navigation keys...

How bad is the Amoled screen burn-in problem?

Any thoughts on leaving a phone on"screen saver" mode overnight? Brightness all the way down and night light on. It moves the clock around but the on-screen navigation keys stay lit which I'm worried about. It's the pixel XL for what it's worth.

    A Good Car mount.

I second this. It's extremely easy to install, you don't have to worry about an adjustable arm that will move around with bumps, and it holds the phone very well. I suppose it would be nice to have the portrait mode option but I don't think it's a big deal

    screen protector

Personally it just looks too much like Halloween but that's not to say it doesn't look cool. I got the matt black one for myself which is boring but sleek. I was toying around with using the matt black and then putting the mahogany on the glass part. Dbrand doesn't sell them with the back glass...

    Case/skin?

Try the natural or alcantara series of slick wraps. They only cover the back and don't wrap around at all so perfect to go with a bumper

    Case/skin?

Slick wraps has them available for just the glass now.

    Any Super Thin Cases?

Try slick wraps, naked series. They're clear skins that provide scratch protection but are much thinner than a case. And of course there's the colored/textured wraps also from slick wraps and d brand.

Everyone happy with Pixel so far?

What about it is mediocre? Besides the design.
