I got my Nexus 5X yesterday and also have some USB to USB Type-C cables. Plugging the USB end into my computer gives me normal charging speed for the phone. Plugging it into the USB port for Android Auto in my 2015 Hyundai Sonata shows "Charging slowly" on the lock screen and at 55% battery...
