im all new to this and would like to get the free wifi on my phone (i have pdaNet right now) so i would work my way up to step 7 with z4root? after that how would i apply the wifi option? i dont want to mess my phone up...thanks

i know this been ask 1,000s of time but there are some many ways to root ur phone and ive had it...i NEED a step by step with easy directions to root my phone the right way...please please help me out..all new to this and getting a lil tick off

ok so i made it up to step 6 and its telling me that it cant find my phone..is there a a easier way to root my EVO..first timer here

is this a force update pushed by sprint or do u have to agree to install it? i have update thats been ready but i havent updated cuz there was nothing wrong with my phone

ok after playing with the phone more i found out that the phone cant play avi or m4v files..all my videos are in .avi format....does any one know a good media player that can play avi files?

hey so ive been trying to get videos from my SD card to play on the phone but i cant even find the phone on my phone not even the folder i made for it. somebody please show me how to play videos from my SD card please:'(

yea i was getting the same message..then i try PDAnet and was driving me crazy because it couldnt find drivers..i ran into this thread and the widget works awesome!!! alot easier than PDAnet and its wireless! ...thank you so much OP!!!:cool: how many devices can go on this?

ive also downloaded a keyboard and sum other stuff which i cant seem to find and it took out my swype ...sorry i keep posting all my questions im just so lost with this OS!!

and is there anyway to get the "old" sprint voice mail like i had when i had my sanyo pro?..sprint is making me say my name and use it for the greeting and if i dont say sumthing it will say " is not available please leave a detail message" when some one gets my VM..before it just it say "you...

not really sure what root means but i think ill try PDAnet (a friend has it but paid for) and it hooks up with the usb..so i dont need a cleaner then? i guess im just looking at it to much like a computer

also would like a meter gauge to let me know how much ram the phone is using etc
