Looks like Samsung Promotions is now offering a $49 Gear 360 with the purchase of a new flagship. Seems like a good deal, although the camera gets generally poor reviews. As a side note, if anyone is taking them up on this and is interested in trading for a Gear VR bundle, I have an extra.

That's kind of faulty logic. I agree that your $195 value is more realistic than what Samsung says, but you can't discount the value of both items if you "only want one." Whether you want the items is irrelevant in determining the savings.

Bixby Voice went live in Korea so hopefully we'll get it soon. It's impossible to judge based on its current state.

I'm sorry that a few people didn't get their phones by release day, but there seems to be a lot of heartburn from people who got their phones on release day. It's not really fair to Best Buy or Samsung to get mad about getting exactly what you paid for. Same goes for the folks who "couldn't"...

Got both of mine. UPS didn't ask for a signature so I think the online release option worked. I activated one, smart switch took under half an hour. New phone is sleek and fast, but honestly it's not a huge difference from the S7. FPS is fine and virtual home button is great.

UPS mychoice had it as an option. The driver can still refuse to leave it if he or she doesn't feel comfortable so we'll see.

I ordered online for delivery, S8 silver and S8 black, both Verizon. Order placed on 4/10, shipped yesterday, arriving today. One shipped in the afternoon from MD, the other shipped at night from PA. I'm in VA. I authorized UPS to release without a signature, so we'll see if they do it.

Out of curiosity, for those who are outraged about the crowds on Friday, why did you choose store pickup to begin with? I don't want to wait in a huge line either, so I chose to get mine delivered.

Same here. I ordered on the 4/10. Two S8s, one silver and one black. Orders were both charged to my credit card tonight, and the only change to my order status was the "deliver by 4/25."
