Just go to the motorola service center and ask them to resolve the issue. They might charge you for the same. Somewhere about Rs500. I would suggest you not to experiment anything by yourself.

I hope that you didnt convert your sd card to adoptable storage one. Which wipes off your data/ formats it.

Check if you're logged in from your gmail account in the calender app. Also for the contacts, did you save the contacts in your phone or gmail? (When you add a new contact, the phone asks you if you want to store it as a phone contact or in your gmail) You can also check gmail(website version)...

Re: How to recover my moto g2? I would probably suggest you to go to the Motorola store/service center and ask them to work over the issue before you make it worse for yourself doing another experiment. Btw, Why did you root the phone??

Sadly, i have noticed that my phone lags a lot after updating to android M. Also the battery drains out quickly if i compare it to android L. I have to wipe out cache twice or thrice a day or maybe just restart the phone the same number of times. Posted via the Android Central App

When you connect USB to a PC/laptop, it's connected for only charging. (In marshmallow) Swipe down the notification bar. You will see the USB option. Change it to file transfer. Posted via the Android Central App

I have already got the update. Honestly, i didnt find it better than lollipop. Phone hangs a lot, the battery drains quickly. I should have waited for some reviews before updating my phone to marshmallow coz of my excitement of having the latest version. Posted via the Android Central App
