Verizon S9+. Received the August 1st security patch a couple of days ago.

Anyone having issues activating the Advanced Messaging services on unlocked S9s running Verizon firmware after this update? I tried to go into Chat Settings in the Samsung Messages app and it says "a feature may be blocking this service." Normal txt messaging works fine.

If you have a US Unlocked phone but just have service on Verizon, you won't get an update until Samsung pushes it out. The Pie updates have only been pushed out to phones running carrier firmware. You can always flash the VZW office update using Odin like I did on my US unlocked S9+ rather...

I couldn't wait anymore for the official pie release on US unlocked phones so I just flashed the Verizon CSAB firmware on my phone. Works great and Samsung Cloud does still work now (it's hard to get to but it's there). Also Secure Wifi isn't supported with the Verizon firmware. Everything...

Nope. On a US unlocked S9+ with 256GB storage so don't feel a need to. Battery life has been great on the Pie Beta I'm running and I'm wary of first-gen tech they will be putting in like the in-display FPS. Don't mind the already thin bezels and another couple of cameras isn't a big deal...

FYI - Samsung Connect app is now working on the Pie Beta after the latest app update from the Play Store.

The S9 and Note 9 stable pie builds are only for the Exynos-chipsets and have been pushed out in parts of Europe. Not many people use those variants in North America as they're not compatible with CDMA networks.

That's correct. The Samsung+ app has been broken in all beta builds in deference to the Samsung Members app that you use for bug reporting, suggestions, and reviews. You have to give it to Samsung for pushing out these builds in such a timely manner. Maybe Project Treble is working after all...
