What phone are you switching from to the Pixel 2?

Battery life isn't what it used to be. The phone has always been a battery hog, but a full charge simply isn't lasting as long as it used to. It is, afterall, a 3 year old battery, so I am not surprised. The phone now gets noticeably hot from just mild use. What was once warm during use, has...

What phone are you switching from to the Pixel 2?

Nexus 6 to XL. I've been with this beast since release, but it's time to finally move on.

It's so engrossing you'll lose yourself in it to the point of literally growing a beard.

Need help with decision on LG G3 or Nexus 6?

I'm sure he just means that it's removable.

    To Big?

I think this will largely depend on the size of the individual, as well as just personal preference. I don't find it too big at all. I can also one-hand it to do most operations. Like already mentioned, I could see a smaller-statured individual finding it too large.

Need help with decision on LG G3 or Nexus 6?

I just recently went from the G3 to the N6, since Verizon finally got off of their asses. The N6 was the phone I originally wanted, but since Verizon dragged their feet, I got the G3. Once the N6 got released on Verizon, I kept thinking about it, so had to make the change. For me, the G3 was...

    LG g3 to nexus 6

I might, but that is a strong might. The G3 was my number 2 behind the N6; Verizon's failure to deliver made my decision for me. At this point, being so late in the game, I just don't know. The G3 has served me well, with the short SOT being it's only downside, especially since the high res...

    Would you buy again?

Yeah, I too was ready to grab it, but given the identical physical size to stock, I feared it was another mislabeled model, hence my request. Seems you were thinking much like me in this case. All US variants have 3GB of memory. Outside of the US, 2GB and 3GB. Or are you referring to internal...

    landscape videos

I've taken a few short videos with the stock camera app and all worked as it should; held it in landscape, the image rotated, and it shot in landscape. Ensure that you have auto-rotation checked under display in the system settings.

    Would you buy again?

I would indeed buy it again. There is nothing on the current market that even peaks my interest. The rumored super phone supposedly coming from Verizon has an eyebrow up, but it is only a rumor at this point. The only negative mark I would give the G3 is the "screen on" battery drain. Outside of...

On the LG g3 Verizon Message homepage on the left side you can open Customize ALL

Just out of curiosity I reinstalled Verizon's messaging app. I don't have the red circle you are referring to, but I believe the repeat names you are describing is where you can customize the color of the message box as well as their background. You did say that you are in the "customize all"...

On the LG g3 Verizon Message homepage on the left side you can open Customize ALL

I promptly deleted Verizon's Messaging app and just use the stock Android one, but it reads like you may be referring to the auto-reply section where you can customize the messages, and what you are seeing is some example text populating each one. Again, just a guess.

Why is there an exclamation mark over About phone in the Settings?

This icon? I don't think any of the icons in the settings menu are live icons, so nothing to be concerned with. Perhaps an update changed it, if it wasn't there at one point. Maybe a carrier specific icon, if not preset on all models.

How do I shut down my phone?

Re: how to shut down If you are unfamiliar with launchers then you are likely using the stock one, and as mentioned, double-tap any area of the screen that doesn't have widgets or icons (an area with just the background image). If by chance you are using a 3rd-party launcher, double-tap the...
