No 5.1 audio with Netflix on Chromecast

Re: No 5.1 Netflix on chromecast I think you've found the problem. The receiver doesn't have pass-through, so would need to be on. Neither do I think I could "view" set up with CC plugged into it. And neither does the TV support ARC, so I can't send audio back to the amp via HDMI, only via...

No 5.1 audio with Netflix on Chromecast

Re: No 5.1 Netflix on chromecast Not sure if my receiver (2011 Yamaha RX-V371) supports DD Plus or not. My CC is plugged in to the TV as my thinking was that for casual casting, Youtube, local stuff, I wouldn't want the amp on. The TV (Samsung 46D5520) then connects to the amp via optical...

    Chromecast Curiosity

Indeed. For upstairs TV we use tablets, but when they release it in the UK I'll get another for the kitchen telly.

    Chromecast Curiosity

Our TV, BD, and PVR are all "smart", and connect to the router via ethernet cable. None gets Netflix, nor Google Play, hence my getting CC to add to our existing line up. In the streamer boxes, AFAIK, the Rokus, Apple TVs, WDs etc all connect via ethernet cable. None provides as elegant and...

Can't cast Netflix from Samsung Galaxy Tab2 7.0

As it all works fine off the Kindle, presumably the issue is with Samsung, and/or how Netflix is working (failing) on the Samsung kit. What do Netflix say about their error message 16003? FWIW, I've tested it with my wife's S4 (on Android 4.3) and it all works fine.

    Chrome Cast - opinions?

I'm a UK user. The device itself will be exactly the same when Google get around to releasing it here, and in other territories - see Chromecast in 2014: an open SDK, big international plans and maybe even new devices — Tech News and Analysis. The difference currently is in the services we can...

    No Dolby Digital

Another +1 for updating the AV box is that via HDMI, you'll get full HD audio from your blu-rays.

Chrome Cast Fails co cast movies

I've had that. I'm guessing it's some restriction placed by the uploader. Why they're happy for the video to be watched on a computer screen but not a TV screen, I don't know.

    Chromecast UK Futureproof

I'm UK. My review over at Amazon UK is under Mike_Amazon. Short answer is we don't know for definite, but as my UK GP content works fine, I can't imagine that apps released specifically for us won't work on an imported US device. I'm certain the hardware would be the same. You'll know that...

Android 4.4.1 update hints at Android Chromecast screen mirroring 'very soon'

Indeed. It's an obvious enhancement, and a shame full tab casting wasn't ready on all devices from Day 1. Over here, we need: 1. Chromecast released to the UK market 2. More services. If we got HBO GO, I'd be ecstatic :D

Android 4.4.1 update hints at Android Chromecast screen mirroring 'very soon'

I can read just fine. The link inferred that 4.4.1 could bring android screen mirroring "very soon". My N7 has skipped straight to 4.4.2 and still can't cast a tab. Just sayin...

My 2012 N7 has just gone straight to 4.4.2 but still can't cast a chrome browser.
