I just had a similar problem on my Moto G 2nd-Gen with Android 5.0.2. When i tried to record a video using the standard camera app, it would record for 1 second then stop recording. It may have been caused by me changing the photo/video storage to the SD card (was Phone). I rebooted the phone...
