I have kept my Nexus 7!

It took me a couple of days to get used to the format (having been used to an iPad), but especially for gaming the PSP-like dimensions are great. Likewise for reading (I still use a 6" e-ink reader quite often, though), where I can hold and use the device with just one hand. The only time I wish...

    Returning my Nexus 7! :/

Not for me. Tablets that are larger than 7" are bulky and you can't as easily hold and use them with one hand, and larger screens available at the moment all have significantly lower ppi than the Nexus 7. I'd never do any recreational reading on my laptop, for example. It's either an 6" frontlit...

I have kept my Nexus 7!

This cheeky thread came back to bite me in the ****. :) A couple days after posting it, my N7 developed a dead pixel in the upper center that hadn't been there before (within a week of buying it). Thankfully, the electronics chain I had bought it from were painless about it, sent me a return...

Do "old" Nexus bluetooth keyboards work?

I've been looking for a bluetooth keyboard/stand for my Nexus 7 (2013). On ebay Germany, I see plenty of choices, but none of them mention 2nd gen or 2013. I imagine that full covers with keyboards won't fit, but what about just the stand-keyboard combinations?

I have kept my Nexus 7!

Got my Nexus 7 (2013) last week and I wanted to share with the world that I have kept my device! Gorgeous display, zero lag, crisp and loud sound, amazing battery life, and it runs like a little champ. I still can't believe how inexpensive that device was. Did you keep your Nexus 7, too? :p

EPUB on NEXUS 7 using NOOK APP

Personally, I use Calibre (open source and free, available for Win/Mac/Linux) to manage and store my books on the PC. On the Nexus, I use the Calibre Companion (costs a couple bucks) to wirelessly connect to Calibre and then transfer the books I want to the Nexus. The companion will then open...

Poll.... does yours have touchscreen issues with the latest build?

Could also be that it drowns in the spilled beer. :) I bought my device last week here in Germany when they were released, and it's not having any issues even when laying flat on a wooden table. Build is JSS15J, as well. Is there a way to see when it was manufactured?

When will the new Nexus 7 with LTE come out???

Here in Germany the LTE version was released on the 28th, but it was/is currently only sold through Saturn and Media Markt (electronic chains).

Some thoughts on android and IOS.

If an iPad mini that is comparable to the Nexus 7.2 had existed, I would not have minded to pay $100 extra for it, just for the convenience of not having to get used to a new OS and finding the apps I want/need. But the currently available mini has a resolution of 1024x768 (163dpi) which doesn't...

    Is It Worth It?

My input: I picked up a Nexus 7 2013 this week (they only came out here) and it is my first Android device. I'd been using an iPad in the past three years. Overall, I'm very pleased with the device. It's very snappy, the display is nothing short of gorgeous, the sound is fantastic (but it's not...

    Returning my Nexus 7! :/

Hmm, mine's as responsive as the iPad. Both feel the same to me. The N7.2 feels a little more plastic-y than the iPad (well, it is!), but it complements my "tech family" well: the 17" laptop for work and gaming, the iPad 2 for watching Youtube videos on the couch and using some apps that have...

    Returning my Nexus 7! :/

Well, I received my Nexus 7.2 this week and I had all sorts of worries beforehand because of claims about display issues. The device turned out to have the most gorgeous display I have seen so far and I'm gushing all over the thing. Admittedly, I came from an iPad 2, no retina, so the difference...
