    No SIM card?

    Factory reset. Then when the android wants you to tap. Tap at upper left, upper right, lower right, lower left. That should do it. However, I do not know if it works without a Sim card.

    OTA updates bionic still on gingerbread

    Hi. I just did the exact thing. Took 3 upgrades to get from factory reset to 4.1.2. No problems. Used the sim card that came with it. Good luck, although none is needed. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk

    I Want to Learn About Linux

    You can go to distrowatch.org. They list many distributions of linux. You can explore what is offered and compare to the system you plan on using. Many distros gave live CDs so you can try before installing. Sent from my rooted DROID X2
