Thank you! I turned off the sounds on both Facebook and Messenger and it completely fixed the freezing issue!

I have the HTC one m8 and the apps in my dock are also supposed to show up on my lock screen. Ever since I got a new messaging app it replaced where that was supposed to be with a little Android guy. Anyone have any ideas? Here's what my lock screen looks like and my messaging app should be...
