Sounds like you have a bad eMMC chipset. Which means you can only root with the ./gfree method. with that being said i would highly advise against you rooting as that chip has been known to fail for no reason at all leaving you stranded. And since the device will be s-off HTC and T-Mobile do...

Really odd. I know the old version of CWR had problems that you are describing. XDA and Cyanogen had post after post about this problem. but Koush fixed it in the latest release of his CWR. I'm sorry that didn't work but it's the only thing i could think of.

Get MC2 and MC3 they are .99 in the market today (1/2/12). And most likely. HTC has said they are looking into it. But Cyanogen is working on a CM9 ROM.

Update your Clockwork Recovery image to the newest one. or use 4EXT
