Any clear cases that don't have the sticky spot?

i've been using those clear back cases for some years now, never really a problem until last year when i got the s8+. most of the clear cases has that sticky problem with the s8+, i had to clean it with soap once a week, and had to put on and remove numerous times to get that sticky spot not...

Why do I always need a pin to unlock when fingerprint and intelligent scan is enabled?

Go check it out on the play store. It has screenshots of what permission is required; device admin and 2 others. It works with fps and intelligent scan, which I'm using. One thing to note though, once you press their icon to lock the phone, it actually blacks out the screen for 5 seconds, and...

Why do I always need a pin to unlock when fingerprint and intelligent scan is enabled?

No OCD, just like to prolong the buttons. I know these buttons are designed to last an unknown number of times, but I just don't like to press it 100x a day. BTW, I've finally found an app called "turn off screen (lock screen)" by redmanit to be working with the note 9, it even has the option...

Why do I always need a pin to unlock when fingerprint and intelligent scan is enabled?

Thanks for pointing it out. I have used this app on my s8+ for over a year without problems as mentioned earlier, wouldn't have known to check this certain app if it didn't have a problem.

Why do I always need a pin to unlock when fingerprint and intelligent scan is enabled?

it's called "double tap screen on and off". i think most, if not all, of those kinda apps are facing the same problem from my short reading on the play store.

Why do I always need a pin to unlock when fingerprint and intelligent scan is enabled?

i think i have figured out what the problem is. it's one of my app, double tap screen on and off, that uses device admin. i've just disabled it and it's working as it should. it's unfortunate that the app was working fine on my s8+ since may 2017, but sucks that it's causing such problem on the...

Why do I always need a pin to unlock when fingerprint and intelligent scan is enabled?

i did try to remove the PIN unlock, and it erases all my saved biometrics. i then set it up again, but same results.

Why do I always need a pin to unlock when fingerprint and intelligent scan is enabled?

no it doesn't even ask for fingerprint or biometrics, it just go straight to "enter your PIN, as required by the security policy, instead of using your biometrics". i do have smart lock enabled at this location, but it never unlocks when i hard press the square.

Why do I always need a pin to unlock when fingerprint and intelligent scan is enabled?

As the title says, 99% of the time I'd need to use my pin to unlock my note 9. Why can't I just use either fingerprint or intelligent scan? My old s8+ rarely asks me to use my pin. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? If I try to remove pin unlock, and use swipe to unlock, then it says it'll...

T-Mobile Galaxy S8 Wifi calling too aggressive - always defaults to wifi calling even when cellular preferred is chosen

Add me to the list, I noticed this strange behavior on the first week of ownership, I then disabled wifi calling. Never had this problem on my s6e+.
