Ditch all the apps that automatically sync (weather, social networking, etc). If that doesn't work, try re-calibrating your battery. There are tons of tutorials on how to do it.

The Android OS and accompanying files (ringtones, stock apps) are stored on a separate partition. The Triumph has about 1.09 gb of space for downloaded apps and such.
