I figured that was my only option,but i keep coming back to the battery usage being so high with android system and had me wondering if maybe it was a bug causing it.i just hate to pay to have a new battery put in and the problem still continue because it was an issue with the software.

Also no,its not under warranty unfortunately. I have wiped the cache and rebooted and even did a factory reset,still no improvement.
