It almost reminds me of Xiaomi's plan in India. They started with flash sales and still doing it while others are selling phones in open sale. They have so many cool toys but they sell those only in China. Irony is people call Xiaomi Apple of China.
Some Android phones with AOSP or vanilla Android has that feature inbuilt. If you are using one of those phones then OK. Otherwise there should be an app for that.
In my opinion a locked bootloader is a good thing. If someone wants to root or use different ROM then why do it with a phone with vanilla Android? Buy some other cheap mobile for that.
I like Gmail. I use it for my main email ID. For other emails I use the default mail app. I never used Outlook. So don't know how it works. But there is some good features in every app.

In my opinion any phone out there if dropped would break except the rugged ones. So why bother? Its like asking whether a Veyron or Aventador won't get any dent if crashed.
