I rebooted as mentioned above at aprox 11:15 AM PDT. So far, it continues to appear to be fixed at 3:30 PM. The only issue I continue to have and can live with is the first 2 rings are quieter & then it goes to regular volume by the 3rd ring. V30 Thin-q, T-Mobile.

So far, seems to be fixed. I wish someone else made an affordable phone for audiophiles, but LG seems to have been it before discontinuing. I like have 2 devices in 1, rather than having to get a music player AND a phone. Thank you to this site & thread. I was feeling crazy until I googled this...

Based on this I'm going to try a reboot. Wish me luck.

I seem to only have the issue if I power down the phone & power it back up. It's not sustainable long term, but for now I'm leaving the phone on 24/7.

FYI: per LG, they are saying it's a T-Mobile system update issue & T-Mobile will be proving the fix; NOT LG. Looks like we've got 2 companies blaming each other.

Since LG no longer makes phones & is becoming problematic; is anyone else making a decent phone with a 24 bit dac? I would prefer something I could get on Swappa used due to my budget.

I just spoke with T Mobile. Someone in a non USA call center said LG is working on a patch & they were certain that LG would be sending it to older phones also.

I repeated what I did yesterday (Clear cache & data in comlgercyprvider and cache in LG IMS (it won't allow me to clear data; that is grayed out) & it appears to be working. This isn't going to be a daily event, is it..............?

My IMS Setting won't open. I'm trying to remember what I did to fix this isue yesterday. I was never able to get IMS settings to open.

What's odd about that is my phone hasn't gotten LG updates since August 2019. From a security pov, It's a little scary to be on such an out of date OS. I use Malwarebytes & T-Mobile's security app.
