Ok, two factory resets later, "hidden" items now disappear right after I turn Private mode off. Just as it should be. No need to restart the phone anymore. The first factory reset did not help this issue, the second one did.

Well, thanks, but my problem IS that when I turn Private mode off, things that are supposed to become invisible remain visible. I am positive I have turned Private mode off.
