No SD slot, no removeable battery, therefore crappy. This is exactly why all of the recent smartphones are crap that I won't buy.

Why doesn't someone release a good smartphone?

My tablet (A Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1) is four years old as of some day this week. It still works like new. The S5 is what phones should be like. I don't want to sound like Trump, but someone should make smartphones great again.

The battery problem is very strange. Either your battery is damaged or something in the phone is conductivg poorly when it shouldn't be conducting at all. For the backup issue, the option in settings does literally nothing.

That is very weird. Try plugging in your phone or placing it on the inductive pad while it is already rebooting. Does it reboot when you do that?
