Spent two days on this now. Got a call back today from a supervisor that admitted the code works, but claimed that is irrelevant if they cannot confirm that the source of the code is valid, and she could not find it in her system. She even went so far as to say this appeared to be a fake code...

I think this is the genesis of this entire mess. Several carriers do have GN3s being released at BB today, just not VZW. Confusion and chaos are probably responsible for all the (probably unintended) misinformation in the thread and at the BB stores. Game over for me.

Stores in Williamsburg and Newport News, VA just told me they do not have any stock for the GN3 for VZW. They claim their system shows they will not be available for sale until 12 October which they maintain is the day VZW stores will have stock for in store sales as well. Go figure.

I totally agree the App Tray icon is dumb. The mini-apps can overlay other apps so you can "multitask" according to the VZW explanation here: http://support.verizonwireless.com/pdf/system_update/galaxy-tab-2.pdf . So far I cannot find the missing screen capture button either, maybe someone knows...

At 0230 hours Eastern (USA) this morning both of my Verizon Sammy 2 7.0 tablets were upgraded automatically to 4.1.2., build number JZ054K.I705VRBLL2. WiFi and everything else seems to be working just fine. I never thought it was going to happen for the Verizon versions of this tablet.

After total frustration with all tricks, I gave up yesterday and decided to wait it out. This morning I tried this just for grins using Power Toggles to turn Airplane Mode on/off quickly. Worked on the first try. Still cannot believe it. Tidewater Virginia. BTW, if this works for you please go...
