Just got my shiny new LG G3 and reasonably happy with it. One issue I cant quite seem to resolve is that when the phone rings, the first ring is loud, then the volume drops. Not good when outside or in my pocket. Is there any way to maintain the volume at the higher level?

Since upgrading to lollipop, whenever my phone goes into lock and I unlock it, it defaults to the phone screen rather than the home screen. How do I get it to default to the home screen once unlocked?

I no longer get a status icon at the top of the screen when a new email arrives, I don't get a notification sound or vibrate either. My Nexus 4 is set up to check my work email account and has been working fine until the other day. The phone is checking my email account and downloading messages...
