Hello B.Diddy, I retired the old pattern again and no it did not work. I think it is a fault in the Motorola programming myself but they won't admit that if they've left a glitch in the OS that effectively bricks your phone.

I changed the pattern lock on my Moto G4, it accepted the new pattern. However when I locked the phone and tried to unlock the phone with the pattern it would not unlock. I have tried many options for unlocking the phone using the Android Device Manager to no avail. I have tried the lock your...
