New App for Facebook Hi-Res Photo syncing - "Haxsync"

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of activity here. The recent problems HaxSync was experiencing were caused by a huge bug in Jelly Bean and my way of working around it (App Encryption has not been disabled on Google Play, even though the article claims otherwise.) Starting with Jelly Bean...

New App for Facebook Hi-Res Photo syncing - "Haxsync"

The Real NV: It currently only syncs events you're attending, not ones where you haven't set your status yet. Might that be the problem? RogerSilva: See the email I sent you ;) PaulDroidR2D2: Are you using the latest version? Version 2.3.0 was just uploaded to the Play Store, here's the...

New App for Facebook Hi-Res Photo syncing - "Haxsync"

Version 2.2.9 should be live soon. No exciting new features this time, I'm afraid. However as Facebook is deprecating the offline_access permission tomorrow, I was forced to release an update to deal with this. 2.2.9 will detect when an access token becomes invalid and reask you for...

New App for Facebook Hi-Res Photo syncing - "Haxsync"

Some users reported an issue, where they got the message "An error occured. Please try again later." when trying to add an HaxSync-account. This is an issue on Facebook's side (I suspect they're having problems with their API), and should hopefully be fixed soon. Unfortunately, there's nothing I...

Made face detection optional. Added option to force redownload of all contact images. Now showing friend names with "Show...

Version 2.2.2 should be live soon! Changelog: Added option to only create birthday events for contacts on phone. Fixed issue where birthday events would be created even though user disabled them (to get rid of the old ones, check and uncheck "Sync Birthdays" in Calendar Settings). Fixed issue...

kevinthom: I think I have fixed the issue, but I'd like to test it on your device before releasing the fix publicly. Can you contact me via email? thunder2k: Did you check 'Sync "Me"-Contact' in HaxSync's Contact Settings?

New App for Facebook Hi-Res Photo syncing - "Haxsync"

Jojje_c1: thanks for the log, lets see if I can find anything suspicious... karfam: It's already implemented now, I did it the same way HTC does it: I store <HTCData>-tags in the google contacts. (those should be compatible with HTC Sense, btw) Version 2.2 will be released as soon as I get...

New App for Facebook Hi-Res Photo syncing - "Haxsync"

Jojje_c1: Can you send me a log (record it using aLogCat, available on the Market) of your sync process? Btw, I think I found a solution to the problem with profile pictures not updating. Version 2.2 should fix that issue, can't believe I haven't thought of this earlier :D

Lior Messer: Ooops, I overlooked that case during testing :D The next version will fix that issue. karfam: I'm working on a way to implement your request, I can't tell you any details yet, though.

Is90: Are you using the old or the new API? The new API doesn't show status updates in the contact list, only in the contact detail view. This is the reason I left the option to use the new API, if that disadvantage outweighs all the advantages you get from the new API for you.

New App for Facebook Hi-Res Photo syncing - "Haxsync"

I am pretty sure that Facebook has some restricted API methods only available to them (or huge companies with large purses. ;))

Giving you access to galleries and giving 3rd-party-apps you use (such as HaxSync) access to galleries are two completely separate permissions. A way to force updating pictures may be possible, I'll look into it.
