I think you will be fine, as a rule the newer batteries don't like to be fully discharged and if done continuously it could shorten its life but doing it a few time shouldn't harm it.

Re: LG G2 GPS cannot Lock after Kit Kat update. The GPS is working for me but the reception sucks. Takes a long time to connect and need to be outside in the open. My Blackberry kicks its **** in this respect. I can get a signal on the train or in my house.

Ok so I tried the figure 8 calibration technique and I think that fixed the issue. The compass seems to be working properly now. I will need to keep an eye on this, if there are any changes I will report back

Since getting updated to Kitkat the GPS compass is all messed up. . LG get your **** together, this is basic functionality that needs to work.

settings>General>battery>battery % on status bar

I read that there is a know camera bug with KitKat that people with Skype are having KitKat giving you battery drain problems? Try uninstalling Skype, says Google as it prepares a fix | ZDNet Try deleting Skype if you have it and see if that might be the issue
