I found some roms but you had mentioned that I should not go with a rom manager. If I have this wrong I am sorry, I will go back and read rom flashing again... I am really trying to get this so bare with me please...don't mean to come off stupid either..

Have epic 4g i did update it to froyo.EC05 Kernel 2.6.32.9 firmware 2.2.1 I would really like to root this baby. I can not find the sdk manager from market, but I did find it on the net. I did update all the updates I in the sdk manager but not I am kinda lost. So I came here for help!!.
